Dwayne Johnson ([ˈdweɪn ˈd͡ʒɑnsən][n 1]), also known by the nickname The Rock[n 2], is an American-Canadian actor, producer, professional wrestler, born May 2, 1972 in Hayward, California ).
Coming from a family of wrestlers, he also became a wrestler. He was known for his work in the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment until 2004 then returned to competition from February 2011 until April 2013 and occasionally made a few appearances.
Towards the end of the 1990s he began a career in Hollywood without being an actor but thanks to his notoriety as a wrestler and quickly gained access to leading roles in the 2000s, becoming a film star in his own right by being the main actor in numerous films action actor then the highest paid actor in the world in 2016 and 2019 according to Forbes magazine. He is also one of the hundred most influential people in the world according to the Time 100 of 2016 and 2019[5],[6].
